What is the difference between construction loans and other home loans?
It’s an entirely different process and risk involved. Construction loans allow you to borrow money before the home is built and funding (draws) is disbursed on completed work to a builder during the construction process. Construction loans allow you to build and make the home yours, and it guarantees new with one owner. Other home loans allow you to borrow money to purchase existing homes.
What is a Manufactured Home?
“Manufactured” homes, also referred to as “mobile homes” or “trailers”, are built entirely in a factory or warehouse and transported to the site as a single unit. Unlike modular homes, manufactured homes are constructed on a steel chassis with wheels, allowing them to be easily moved from one location to another. They are built to comply with federal HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) code standards, rather than local building codes. Manufactured homes are typically more affordable than modular or site-built homes and offer a quicker construction timeline.
What are the overall benefits of Modular Homes?
The overall benefits of building a modular home are substantial, encompassing savings in labor, materials, and time. When compared to traditionally built homes of comparable size, modular homes generally come with a lower price tag. Beyond the upfront cost advantages, modular homes offer long-term savings through enhanced energy efficiency. These homes are designed to keep heating and cooling bills low, resulting in continued financial benefits year after year. Choosing a modular home not only represents a cost-effective solution, but the streamlined construction processes in a controlled factory setting ensures precision and quality in every home delivered exceeding industry standards with superior energy efficiency & sustainability.
